What is MINDSET FUNDAMENTALS?

The kind of faith that moves life’s “mountains” is real. But rare.

That’s why I call it Rare Faith.

My Rare Faith book introduced the idea that there are governing laws behind faith, but Mindset Fundamentals explains them.

I'm not talking about a prosperity gospel, emotional motivation, or hype.

It’s simply a framework, invisible, but constantly shaping our outcomes according to our alignment with it (or lack thereof).

Throughout the Bible, we’re taught that blessings are connected to obedience.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
“Ask, and ye shall receive.”
“Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

There is order in God’s dealings with His children.

And one passage expresses it this way:

"There is a law, irrevocably decreed in heaven before the foundations of this world, upon which all blessings are predicated — And when we obtain any blessing from God, it is by obedience to that law upon which it is predicated." — Doctrine & Covenants 130:20-21

I spent years suffering through hard times, constantly praying for help, bargaining, pleading, sometimes questioning if He was even there. But things only seemed to get worse.

Until I came to understand the principles, and realized the stark difference between what I had been doing and thinking, and how to think instead, in a way that opens the door to miracles.

And it starts with trust.

Ironically, I thought I had been trusting Him.

But I had to learn what trust really looks like.

Our Father in Heaven invites us to live in complete trust, so He can deliver on His promises.

And sure, some of His promises are eternal in nature — so we don’t expect to see their fulfillment until later. And that's okay.

But some promises are meant to be realized now. 

Daily manna.

Protection.

Companionship.

Peace of mind.

Regular evidence of His ever present, loving power in our lives.

So let me ask you this. Do you find yourself following Him… but not seeing those promises fulfilled?

What if the promises are true — but maybe you just don't understand what you're missing? 

The idea that divine law governs our outcomes changes everything, because it suggests something sobering:

Sometimes we don’t receive what we prayed for, simply because we may have unknowingly violated a law governing that blessing.

I honestly think we miss out on so much of what the Lord already wants to give us… simply because we’re not abiding the principles that make those blessings possible.

There is order behind miracles. And Jesus understood that order perfectly.

As we begin to understand the laws, we can stop guessing. We stop wondering whether we're the problem. We stop oscillating so often between faith and fear.

Instead, we partner with Him, and begin slaying the Goliaths in our lives. Parting the Red Seas that stand in our way. Shutting the mouths of the lions pacing in our dens.
